Like always, I judge a Mexican restaurant by one thing first—a chicharrón taco on a flour tortilla. My theory is simple: if the chicharrón is seasoned well, it shouldn't need salsa. At $9.80, this was the most expensive chicharrón taco I've reviewed so far, but it's honestly the size of a burrito, so you're definitely getting a lot of food for the money. Usually I find the food here real good. But the last 2 times I went, my husband daughter and I all got different things, and none of it was really good . It seemed bland, dry and just not the same. So we figured it was a off day, everyone's entitled to that once in a while lol. However my husband and I went back a week later, still just not very good. So I think we will go elsewhere next time.
Even though I was on site, I had to call to place my order because no amount of knocking or hollering would get anyone’s attention to come to the window. So I called, placed my order and waited 10 minutes before walking up to the window and repeating the process over again. I paid $7 for this taco, $15 for two with tip. I’m actually still in shock at the audacity. I will NEVER go back and will warn anyone who brings up the words “breakfast tacos” to run, literally, anywhere else.
