BEWARE OF BILLING PRACTICES So my daughter went to the ortho Specialist for an injured foot. He ordered xrays that were done in the ortho office. We left with her diagnosis. Weeks later I get a bill for over $700 just for the XRAYS. My insurance covers the specialist because that is how it is billed; however if you need imaging such as a xrays it is considered and billed as an out of state fee to a seperate facility (hospital) which we never visited and my insurance does not cover out of state.
