I went to Dr. Nemec due to severe reflux problem. He performed an endoscope and biopsy. The endoscope showed a small Hiatal Hernia. He dismissed my concerns of reflux by saying the Hernia was small and not causing my problems and I just needed to lose weight. After several months more of reflux my general practitioner sent me to a Bariatric surgeon who ordered an esophageal manometry test, which showed that my esophagus was only functioning at 25% and swallows at 12%.
