In the beginning on my first appointment the doctor and nurses seemed a little sketchy to me by the way they talked about veins. They almost seem excited when they see them which may seem off-putting but I went ahead and eventually scheduled another appointment to proceed with treatments and it's not so bad. . she tells you what she sees with issues you're having tells you what procedures you need. I wanted sclerotherapy and was forced to have a $400 ultrasound first and then was then told after all this the doctor wanted to do a different treatment on one area due to the nature of the vein. This vein that she was referring to has been unchanged for 10 years and I did have sclerotherapy before in the area at University Hospitals. And also did NOT require an ultrasound at UH for sclerotherapy. I definitely feel like Dr. Nelson tries to make you do unnecessary treatments to make money off her clients. Dr. Nelson and her staff are wonderful. The Doctor explained my condition and its proposed treatment succinctly and understandably. The treatments themselves were made as comfortable as possible, Paulaand each session was finished in a reasonable amount of time. Appointments are easy to schedule, and when changes are necessary, the staff is pleasantly accommodating. I am so happy that I chose Dr. Nelson to help me. Should my veins need treatment in the future, I would opt for Dr. Nelson again.

I had some horrible ugly veins removed by Dr. Nelson. The doctor and her staff did a wonderful and professional job start to finish.

For the past 5 years, I have been dealing with painful, swollen legs. I had previously gone to a few other vascular surgeons but was not satisfied with their treatment approaches. Dr. Nelson and her team offered a simple, non-invasive way to treat my legs and make me finally feel good again! Dr. Nelson and her staff were extremely professional and knowledgable towards my condition. My phlebectomy procedure on both legs was conducted in the office and I was able to go out to dinner afterwards!

Went to dr nelson what a rip off . When I made appointment I asked about my insurance covering my visit, I was assured it would be covered. Dr Nelson did nothing for me except a ultrasound on my legs. Then I got a bill for $677.00 my insurance will not cover this visit. Good thing I did not do the follow up visit that they insisted was necessary.
