I ordered the eggplant parmesan. I am a northerner with a parent from the Bronx (borough of NYC), and this was the authentic in every way: taste and stretchy texture of the mozzarella, super-thin slices of perfectly-fried eggplant, and homemade sauce with minimal ingredients for an actual fresh tomato taste. If you've been craving the real-deal Italian food, you won't be disappointed. [Note: Better for take-out, because the place is very small, and they use disposable plates and silverware.]
There are three different pizza places close together like Nellys. If I could have the crust from one, the sauce from another and be charged fairly, it would be awesome! Have been to Nellys a few times....love their sauce. However, the pizzas all seem to be greasy compared to equal competitors. We ordered an extra large Bianca and added sun dried tomatoes.
