My husband had a referral from Dominican hospital after being admitted with multiple issues after pneumonia and cardiovascular issues to do with stents that were no longer working. This was the best referral we ever had as Dr. Sawhney‘s approach is proactive without overdoing stents that are not necessary. I first met Dr. Sawhney on February 8, 2013 in the catheterization lab at Dominican Hospital. I had just had a major heart attack and he inserted 3 stents to open blocked arteries. He has cared for me continuously since and likely the only reason I am alive today. In my opinion he is the best Cardiologist in the world and I would recommend him without hesitation

Dr Sawhney has been my cardiologist for several years. On two occasions, I was hospitalized with pneumonia. The second time, I am pretty sure he saved my life. He is a youngish sort of old-fashinoned no-nonsense practitioner. I like him a lot. (My wife does too.)
My husband started seeing Dr. Sawhney a few years ago when his insurance changed and it was the best thing that could have happened for his heart health. His previous cardiologist had a great reputation but said he was fine on the medications he was on and that we knew what his risks were. (He has congestive heart failure and is in his 50's.)
