We had Neil Kelly out to do a bid for window replacements in our **** home. We're looking for quality wood windows and thought perhaps an established company like NK would offer both quality and reliability. David K*** and his crew (Bruce F******* and Robert S****) just completed residing my house, and I am so happy with their work! Their work was high-quality, they were courteous and respectful of my concerns about masks, etc. They cleaned up every day and did their best not to disturb me or the neighbors who are working from home right now. We recently had Neil Kelly Company do a relatively small renovation and upgrade project in our condo. It consisted of upgrading hall, kitchen, bedroom, and great room lighting, installing new wood flooring, and installing new kitchen appliances. Larry R was consultant and project lead. He was thorough, gave attention to detail, professional, friendly, and always kept us in the loop. Any hiccups were satisfactorily addressed. Larry was ably assisted by John. I had all my electricity updated from knob and tube, all old outlets checked and grounded, plus insulation in attic and outside walls. I was very pleased with the service, especially the electrical work. The company is well staffed, well organized and the people were very nice and considerate. When we bought our house, we knew the kitchen had to be gutted. I did all the work to clear the space and then John came in to build it back up. Because I was doing some of the work myself and bringing some of my own subcontractors in, he was flexible on negotiating the budget. He fixed the structural issues with the floor, installed all the cabinets, doors, trim, and backsplash. And all the subcontractors and other trades he brought in on the project did quality work. Despite taking three rounds of contracts to clearly outline all of the work that should be covered in the estimate, Neil Kelly and their subcontractor laborers billed 30% over the top of the range quoted. They initially claimed it was for additional items, however, they forgot it was already in the contract. Ultimately, they stuck to their guns of Time and Materials and I paid it so that I wouldn't have to worry about a lien on my house. Had neil kelly do work for us I ended up doing alot of it myself then paid them off and a year later they sent me a bill for the full amount they don't like you doing work and them not getting more money they did not do hardly anything but want me to pay the full amount they keep rewriting it so they make it look like they did a bunch but when it comes down to it all they did was sub out floors and had a carpenter replace doors and trim then had painters paint the doors and trim for this they want 9500.00 dollars beware of t... read more
