I was scheduled for surgery later this month. He has resigned from UT Southwestern, and my surgery was cancelled. His staff was great. They're friendly, organized, and efficient. Now I have to find a new surgeon.
I had a second opinion consultation with Dr. Doolabh, but unfortunately, it didn't leave a good impression. I would appreciate it more if Dr. Doolabh didn't rush through the appointment and spend some more time pre-charting during the initial consultation, even if it takes a few more minutes of his time. I understand that time is limited commodity for a surgeon, but I hope it doesn't reflect the lack of attention to detail in his practice.
I cannot begin to say enough about Dr. Doolabh, his team, and everyone at UTSW! I recently had to have my aortic valve replaced, and everyone was AMAZING!!! I am now four weeks out, and getting back to "normal". I have had no issues or complications, and now have a second chance at life! This minimally invasive procedure is incredible! Got a problem with ur "ticker"? Look no further. Extremely personal service that left no question unanswered. Dr Doolabh and/ or his team were always easily available. My Aortic Valve was replaced using his MT Mini-Thoracotomy exactly as discussed. Out of ICU in less than 24 hrs with only Tylenol; Out of Hospital by day #3 walking the halls of Hotel where we stayed 4 more days before flying home out of state. Can't say enough praise.
