I briefly saw this surgeon after years of battling severe unexplained hip pain. I spent more time in the waiting area than I did seeing the doctor. He walked in never examined me and just said I can tell by the way you're sitting you don't need surgery. Then he suggested I go back to neurology and seemed almost frustrated that I was referred to him. I share his frustrations and believe his intial belief I don't need surgery is probably correct. I couldn’t be happier with this particular orthopedic physician (Dr. Jiwanlal - he goes by Dr. J, for obvious reasons)!! I don’t tend to review very often, but genuinely feel I’ve been blessed to be under his care! This orthopedist has that perfect combination of both a fantastic ’bedside’ manor, coupled with remarkable info on all the newest & greatest treatments available. At first I thought Dr Jiwanlal was nice but about 1 and 1/2 weeks before the surgery I had an appointment with him. I was telling him my concerns about pain control and past medical trauma. At first he was saying things like how you think about surgery could affect your outcome. That made sense but then he got in my face and said "it's really going to hurt!" then said "And I might say NO!" regarding pain meds. That sent the anxiety sky high! Belle and Angela was friendly and pro. In no time I was taken to x-ray where Amanda had me out of my pants in no time. Get your head out of the gutter, my zipper would interfere with x-ray. Dr. J came to agreement for a plan of action to best result. Parker did intake and dismiss me to Brooklyn to arrange further testing. After exiting Brooklyn chased me down and made arrangements for testing be done closer to.my home. These are top notch professionals. They are good at there job. Thanks again to staff. Bob
