The Santa Cruz exchange program goes above and beyond. It not just about the 1:1 syringe exchange. It's about information on one's health, programs available to help a person find housing, food, pet supplies, medical care, counseling, transportation for multiple reasons. The volunteers are here for anyone not just addicts or homeless folks. It's for all people's who have questions about basic needs and survival and just about anything you can think of. This experience was a disaster. I found the place listed on Google as Santa Cruz Needle Exchange and on the doors it says Needle Exchange and the business hours are listed on Tuesday its 5pm to7pm well bs
I would very much like to know why they give out the shot waters (specifically to use to make up their shots with), that say: 'NOT FOR INJECTION'? And what exactly does that mean, if its apparently not self-explanitory? Great program, but because of aforementioned questions, i have to say i'm a bit suspicious.
