Dr. Corcoran is a good doctor and nice person, he's been my PCP for decades. The current 'concierge' set up, with no direct contact with the doctor makes me look for a different practice. Managing the patients like assembly line items is not my idea of 'care'. The 'manager' who is now present in the office location finally made me decide on the change through his curt, not empathic, interactions. Care for the patient is not done through slogan statements. Spam calling me, never did any business with this firm. Some sort of scam?
Dr Gerald Corcoran has been the provider for our family since 1994. Back in the day, he delivered both of my children as my OB/GYN. We have maintained him as our primary care since then for our family. He is a caring, competent and knowledgeable provider who has taken the time to know our family. When I have needed referrals or extra care or one of my children we have been given a ‘good ear’ from him to listen to our concerns and found appropriate resources to solve issues. I came here on recommendation from a friend. She was right. You're not pushed through the system. They take time to get to know you well. Their temporary (now a year) move to a different location was NOT under their control, but a symptom of the power of larger medical facilities/hospitals that don't care as much about individual or small-practice needs. I look forward to their move back to Needham soon. But it is worth the hassle to get great care. I and all 3 of my children are taken care of by Needham Family Practice.
