I spent months waiting for neurology. To see that my diagnosis was already decided before I went there due to them pulling a record from another clinic. I was sent to here on the recommendation that my diagnosis be reconsidered. Instead I was told self refer to mayo by the doctor. Who couldn’t even be bothered to refer me which is needed to see Mayo Clinic. He told me if they don’t help then he will help. Had some teeth removed in 2024. Paid the bill that I was sent in full. Then in January of 2025 I receive a bill for $698. Billed for separate services the hospital charges. The original bill was from May of 2024. Billed over 1 1/2 year after service. Not very happy with this.

I have yet to hear back from the neurology department about previous treatment when I was a minor. They seem to be stalling from all aspects on giving me answers. Based off my experience they might reconsider their ‘extraordinary care’ motto-my experience has been anything but. Doctors at Nebraska Medical violated their Hippocratic Oath by reducing pain medications prescribed by my Colorado Pain Management doctor when I was admitted to their hospital for COPD exacerbated by Para-influenza. The reduction in my pain medications has resulted in HARM to me by increasing my pain and elevating my blood pressure before I could seek a surgical solution to severe back pain caused by a loose surgical rod intruding into disc space at L3.

There is a strange relationship between Nebraska Medicine and Children's. The doctors in the hospital/NICU don't actually work for Nebraska Medicine and are very eager to move their patients over to Children's where they have even more control. When I walk into a building that says "Nebraska Medicine", I expect the physicians and staff to actually work for Nebraska Medicine.
