2 years ago I gave birth to our first child at this hospital and had an incredible first labor experience. It was a no-brainer that for our second child I would be here as well. I gave birth to our second last month and although I needed an emergency induction due to water breaking and no progression in 12 hours, the experience went incredibly smoothly and my medical team was not only capable and knowledgeable, they were attentive and supportive. Not impressed AT ALL with customer service to family members at Nebraska Medicine Labor & Delivery in Omaha. We traveled 5 hours to keep my sister's boys while she had baby #3 and after we arrived to take them to see their new baby brother, we were met with gruffness. Despite her having the baby an hour prior to arrival, we were informed we wouldnt be able to see anyone for a couple hours. We were very disappointed with our experience at Nebraska Medicine Labor & Delivery in Omaha. We came to visit our daughter and meet our new grandson, bringing our two young grandchildren along. From the moment we arrived, the staff member who greeted us was rude and unhelpful. Our son-in-law is in the Air Force, and all of our family is over five hours away, so this moment was especially important to us. I can not describe how INCREDIBLE our birthing journey was. From the amazing nurses, shout out to Taytum, Christina, and especially Kyla! To the doctors and residents. Resident Doctor Logan was the best cheerleader in the entire world. Our care was nothing short of perfect, and our little girl was brought into this world surrounded by the most caring people. Thank you UNMC staff!
I had a great birth experience. My team was all women, they were calm, patient, and very caring.
