I did everything in my power to try to pay off medical bills I didn’t get approved for assistance. I have to pay for private insurance and I’m getting sued $15,000. Thanks for making my life more difficult!!! You guys also built for medications that were not given to me just because the nurses were too lazy to notate correctly. FRAUD
Had a really small piece of metal (didnt know that at the time) blow into my eye randomly after walking around downtown somehow.. Went to the E.R at Nebraska Medicine.. Absolutely abhorrent service in my opinion.. The nurse at the door didn't seem like she could care less.. She didn't see any blood so, just told me to "check in" and "wait, they would get to me when they could".. I left within 10 minutes of waiting.. Pain was getting to much.. Had my wife drive me to CHI.. Told them walking into the E.R there the same info.. ... read more
When I walk into a building that says "Nebraska Medicine", I expect the physicians and staff to actually work for Nebraska Medicine. Perhaps you can get "Serious Medicine" if you're an adult, but if you're a child, they have apparently subcontracted out that business to Children's/the lowest bidder. If I wanted to see a doctor that worked for Children's, I would have just taken the 3 mile trip down the street to Children's. Do better. Raise your standards.
When my husband went in for a heart Cath dissected his left main. Then he had to be admitted. He had an aorta valve replacement. They discharged him two weeks later to Methodist. He should not have been moved because his kidneys were shutting down. Will never go back to UNMC.
Most of the hospitals/doctors in Omaha don't exactly make it easy to pay your bill, but Neb Med Center is ridiculous. The collection agency they are quick to turn you over to is not a highly ethical group, either. Unless I am taken to the Med Center unconscious in an ambulance, I will happily drive to a CHI hospital in the future.
