He is absolutely, hands-down one of the best doctors I have ever had in my lifetime. I have been to him dozens of times spanning decades. He is amazing! I regularly had huge cysts on my face which he always took care of without leaving any scar. Don't let his unique zest for life & travel fool you. This doctor knows what he's doing.
He's one foot out the door. Don't go to him if you have the choice. Seriously. He is an older man who clearly loves to travel and live life outside of the office. It's only a matter of time before he'll retire and you will need to find a new dermatologist. Waited 45 minutes to see him. He clearly has some meeting after my appointment because his staff and him made that clear to me. I'm accustomed to waiting up to an hour at a busy clinic but there was but one patient ahead of me. After he was done with the patient, Dr. Spero chitchats with this patient, then moved on to chat with others.. 35 mins go by until another patient arrives (a white male). He chats with this new arrival. 40m mins go by. When Dr Spero noticed that I was there waiting, & that I was looking at him. He came, closed the door & went to care for the other patient. Was it my race, my gender, my medicaid?
He kept me waiting in his office for OVER AN HOUR while I could hear him out in the hall talking about going to Florida. Then he came in and I coughed (I'm not even sick, but I feel like that shouldn't matter considering he is a DOCTOR) and he straight up said "oh, I don't want to be near you" and stood across the room. He refused to make eye-contact and just stared at the floor the entire time. I told him I wanted topical product advice and he prescribed an antibiotic pill and walked out.
He's the most unprofessional doctor.
