Neal Fitness Center (NFC) is more than a gym, it is a community. For over 44 years, this building has served the Muskegon Lakeshore. When the previous fitness center closed its doors in 2020, it left a void in the workout community and hundreds without a place to call their gym. So in 2021, a group of avid supporters of both the fitness center and Boys & Girls Club of the Muskegon Lakeshore (who owns the building) came together to raise funds to kick off a capital campaign to bring a fresh approach to this fitness center. The gym is absurdly hot & it’s not being addressed. Even at 6am in the morning & it's already 80+ degrees & humid. I was told they were working to fix it last summer. 1 year later nothing has been done or planned yet.. I will gladly update my review once (if) they do something about it.

Worth the investment! It can be intimidating at first but you will soon find yourself part of a community that wants to focus on healthy mindset! The staff is very nice and willing to answer any questions to their best abilities! The classes are fun and educational! The pool and sauna is such a vibe! If you are looking to invest in a membership and have never been before ask for a tour to check it out yourself! I would 100% refer friends here.
The facility is clean, staff are very nice & knowledgeable and willing to accommodate your needs. I highly recommend.
The people are great here, members and staff alike, it feels good to be part of a place that keeps the community healthy.
