Neal Fitness Center has great potential, but the pool schedule makes it difficult for people like me. The facility is clean, welcoming, and the pool is a rare amenity in Muskegon, yet open swim ends before many who work a standard day shift can attend. I don’t get out of work until 6 PM, and several acquaintances and friends have the same issue—they wanted to bring their kids in the evenings but couldn’t, which deterred them from joining. The biggest reason for my low rating is the pool schedule. The pool is the main draw to Neal Fitness Center—it’s unique in Muskegon, and I was willing to pay a premium membership price just to have access to it. Unfortunately, the open swim hours don’t work for anyone who works a normal first shift (9am–5pm). By the time we are out of work, the pool is already closed. The gym is absurdly hot & it’s not being addressed. Even at 6am in the morning & it's already 80+ degrees & humid. I was told they were working to fix it last summer. 1 year later nothing has been done or planned yet.. I will gladly update my review once (if) they do something about it.
