I’ve been to NCH urgent care a few times and have received excellent care within a reasonable amount of time. I appreciate having this facility on the island.
This is not an urgent care. You will be billed for an outpatient hospital visit. We have decent health insurance but the bills just keep coming after going here for a quick strep throat visit. I would NOT recommend going here unless you are OK with paying a good amount of money for a doctor visit.
NP Nancy Iott was wonderful!! She was patient, gentle, thorough and very helpful with explaining everything. I was SO GRATEFUL to have received care from her when I was in so much pain. The intake nurse Ed seemed less than friendly but perhaps he was having an off day. The facility was clean and prompt; now we're just waiting on the final bill to see how egregious the cost might be. 🤞
BILLING SCAM! I had to come here on vacation for flu symptoms and they over billed me for everything. I work in healthcare and I have chronic health issues, so I know the drill. They had the audacity to charge me as a complex patient because of my past medical history despite being there for the flu. The doctor spent more time asking me how I got cancer three years ago than being concerned about why I could not hold down fluids. Then, she billed me for all the time she spent running her mouth.
