Yesterday my wife came into the NCH ER/Urgent Care facility in Estero with a severe cough, fever, etc. The entire staff were all very nice but I would like to especially commend nurse Doug for his professionalism, pleasant personality and for the way he kept my wife and I informed about what tests were being done and how long they would generally take. While no one likes to be in the ER, he certainly made this a much less trying experience

I had chest pains and heart issues and the nurses and doctors did a fantastic job. I got discharged at midnight and wasn't in the lobby for more the. Five minutes waiting for a ride and the head of so called security said I had to leave I explained to him I was waiting for a ride and I literally wasn't in the lobby more then 5 minutes and he told me I had to go he blamed it on the people above him. Italian stallion trying to abuse the little bit of authority he has in life.

I cannot brag about this ER and the staff enough. Today was a first visit. Within 5 min of registering they had me in a room & nurse immediately started her work up. IV, labs, & ct done within 40 minutes. I advised I have Ulcertive colitis and I truly was dehydrated and needed a steroid. Did a ct scan to be safe. ASAP after the scan the PA had put in medication orders on top of fluids already receiving. Veronica nurse was the best! i have issues with small veins and usually have several attempts to achieve. She was excellent first time, no pain and very gentile. the best for this challenge for all folks with small veins! I was so touched by her kindness!
