4 years ago I applied for a much needed job here. I told the woman who interviewed me that I had a baby daughter (she asked if I had children). She then proceeded to tell me that she really didn't want to hire anyone with children because of potential childcare issues, sickness, whatever. I was disheartened but cheerfully assured her that I had sufficient childcare and she had nothing to worry about. Of course I didn't get a call back.
