I first met Dr. Merchant in 2019 in Augusta, GA when I was assigned to his care for outpatient medicinal management and office based psychiatric care. He was in residency during the time and provided me with the absolute best care I have ever received since my initial diagnosis 25 years ago. Terrible bedside manner. NPG lost a great doctor when Dr. Mustafa left.
They never answer their phone
If i could give Dr Merchant a -10 i would. He doesnt care about the patients all he wants to do is put someone in a nursing home. He doesnt want to change medications when the patient is having a reaction. His supervisor finally changed it then said if they needed to adjust it to do it slowly. Unfortunately the dr didnt didnt do it slowly he jumped it up 250 and my dad had a bad reaction to it. Sadly a laurelwood intake told me he needed a medication adjustment and something for agitation. Dr Merchant has done a great job managing my medications. I'm in a much better place than I was a year ago thanks to his recommendations and care.
