This hospital, like all facilities - civilian and military - suffers from staff shortage and funding issues. I am retired, but I am 90% of the time treated courteously and with care. I respect these young heroes. They put up with a lot of stuff and some of these reviews are just not credible at all. God bless these docs and the USN!
Spent on and off for 3 weeks trying to get hold of someone in central apts to make an apt, has the number changed it either rings busy or just rings and rings and then hangs up
Very attentive and helpful at all of the Departments I had to go to (Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Radiology, Laboratory, Pharmacy) While the pharmacy did take quite some time, they were helpful when my number came up. I would highly recommend their care.
There should be a (0) star option. Absolutely horrible! You go to the emergency room for a broken leg, can't get a PCM appointment for 3 weeks, and takes 7 days to get a reference off base. GARBAGE!
The naval hospital referral assistance line is non existent, if they pick up the information you receive may not be accurate, my advice is call tricare directly, you might even be eligible to request to be seen outside of the naval hospital and the urgent care here is not satisfactory at all, I recommend calling the nurse line and asking for advice if you should go to urgent care (not the naval hospital urgent care) or if you should go to the er.
