Lt doctor dismissive on 7th floor of mental health.
I’m so happy and glad that there is an Ophthalmology service here nearby. I live at NAS Whidbey Island, and even though the drive was far, the service was worth it. It took me a couple times to work with the right people who can do the perfect work that doesn’t require rework. Had to fill out some paperwork myself too. Not all staff members know the same thing. If I could give negative stars I would. Clearly the military only cares about the enlisted. As a provider in Kitsap county, it is disturbing to see the lack of care that this hospital has towards their dependents and VA members. It's adequate if you're active duty though, but barely! This hospital refers you to the appointment line to make appointments for "talk" therapy and psychiatry, and they tell you that you can only make appointments virtually through "Dr on Demand" or "Talk Space". So sad to see what NHB had devolved into. We've been going there since 1999, it was our go to place for our whole family, and we had confidence in the service we received there. Now, it is hit or miss if you can get your issue resolved, and you are likely to wait for hours after your scheduled appointment time before being seen. Gone are the days of hoping to find a parking spot, as now, front row parking is always available and the staff seem to out number the patients. It's not bad but it's a military hospital so you get what you get, definitely better than madigan (JBLM hospital) sucks they don't have a OBGYN but I got a referral to a off base one after doing a test
