RecommendedBeautiful trails! Lots of wildlife!
Recommendedhiked the red loop trail with a pit stop to the water. easy enough 6 miles. beginning was a bit muddy but only for a short section. to the left of the bridge is a short trail that leads right to some great lunch rocks and access to wade into the water. the rest of red loop trail doesn't have too much to see but there was another side trail that led to the falls (didn't go). the first half of the trail was not rocky. the second half was somewhat rocky. nothing compared to the rest of rocksylvania...but a decent amount of rock... read more

RecommendedBrought a small group there today in the rain. Bear creek preserve is a beautiful place and suitable for hikers experienced and inexperienced. I will be back again soon minus the pouring rain this time though.
