I was asked on the phone if I was pre-approved because I wanted to go look at a particular house. I said no and he told me I shouldn't even be looking for a home unless I have pre-approval. At that point I was getting the 'do not bother' flag. He does not know my situation AT ALL, so to assume I wouldn't qualify because I haven't been pre-approved is VERY insulting!
