They seem to represent several insurance providers. I called for a quote from a specific major provider and, after spending 15 minutes on the phone giving them information they obviously collected to get me on some sort of mailing list, the quote I recieved was bloated. I got the impression that one of their 'preferred' provisers (a smaller provider they're trying to push) would have had a more subdued premium.

Can someone please tell me why we pay for homeowners insurance? Seems nothing is covered in our policies. Nationwide has had my business since 1978 yet a claim for damage of a major header is not covered. Contractor said damage from western exposure and heat deteriorated the wood, Nationwide saw it differently and said moisture. Wood is dry and powder not wet and mushy. M m m m . . . so who do we trust and believe?
