I would like to vote for my dear friend Amy Newendorp. She has so selflessly dedicated her life to taking care of her mother. As you know in home caregivers receive little to nothing for giving their life to varing for a disabled human being, and she has done so while raising 3 exceptional children, all the while putting herself and her needs aside. She has one of the most amazing hearts and spirits I have ever know, and nobody deserves this more than she does

My wife and I are disabled and had a car until our son totaled it. He was ok. My wife has been in a wheelchair for 20 years. We could not afford a car, so we depended on friends to help us. It very hard to ask friends to drive us around. My wife has had her hips replaced twice. Shoulders replaced. Knees replaced. Terrible arthritis. I have had 2 massive heart attacks, quadruple bypass. I work with physically & mentally disabled individuals & know how hard it is to get them places without proper transportation! God Love those that help these deserving people be more independent!
We did receive C4A and left the mobility devices but there are alot more who deserve them.
They said winners would be announced on May 31, 2013 and then at the last minute changed the date to June 7, 2013 with no explanation. Bad PR.
