Most recent experience horrible again. Submitted dental claim for reimbursement regarding a procedure in 2025. Claim was immediately denied because the date of participants signature was in 2026. They didnt even look at the procedure date filled out by the dentist. Because of prior complaints, the customer service agents are now stating " because of past issues, I cant discuss it with you, you have to speak to Chris". NEBA is probably the worst company for a plan participant to have to deal with. Customer service is lacking in several different ways. If you complain or start asking to many questions, they get one of their attorneys to shut you down real quick. There should be some type of oversight for companies like this. They seem to be able to do and say whatever want.
Never get answers, even after reaching out to management. Calls are dropped, and when they did call back it was 7:30 in the morning and I missed the call. Communication is terrible.
This Benefit Administrator is a joke. I work in a dental office and in a sea of inefficient insurance companies I have to deal with on a regular basis, NEBA stands out as being the single worst to work with by a LOT. I've been waiting a week to get an email or call back from them with basic patient information. It's 2026. Most of this information should be readily accessible online. They should lose their contracts with the employers that use them because their methods are stuck in 1993.
