I am Emerald Executive Elite. I rent quite a bit at this location(PDX). The staff will pretty much find me a vehicle that I want to drive. This last experience was wonderful. The agent working in the garage knows what kind of vehicle I like to drive, so she went and found me a Q50 3.0t all wheel drive. This is a great car. Rent from National a couple times a month across the country. Selection of vehicles in Portland was either Hyundai Elantra or Chrysler Minivan while reserving a full size car. Staff could care less and was almost efficient at best. By far the least agreeable experience in last 12 months.

It was an "ok" experience. I was hoping to get in and get out.. if you're in a hurry this may not be the service you need. I was very happy with my reservation, but the woman at the counter painted this frightening picture of the WEATHER!!!! She said the luxury vehicle I got was "only a sedan", and "not the car to drive to the coast". The weather was not crazy in the least bit. If you want to push for an upgrade please don't use fear. And stop telling me I "won't find that deal anywhere else".

you people are friendly. i am a frequent traveller but not a member of emerald club, when i went to Portland. I was advised by one of your people to just get the car, but when i arrived at the check out gate, they realised that i don't have the necessary membership, it s good that you guys are always prepared and knows well how to handle situations like that.. thank you

Had reservation, rent several cars per week. My company just switched to them and I wish we could go back to Hertz. Never had to call every time I rent to get BS charges removed.

I have always had a great experience with National, which is why I always rent from them whenever possible. I am an emerald customer and always get a GM vehicle, have never been disappointed yet! Only complaint is they are so busy that sometimes the car is not cleaned thoroughly, but nothing major ever has gone wrong. Easy in - easy out! I will be back again!

I am a National Emerald Executive member, and typically receive 5 star service every time I rent a car. My most recent experience is around the need for service; where the car battery went dead. My initial call requesting service from National resulted in two transfers where total length of call was 37 minutes (per my phone). While on hold, after the first 15 minutes, where a rep was "researching what to do", I was reverted back to the main telephone menu and had to start over. this was frustrating.
