It’s a total waste of time doing business with national bank , we book appointment for 9:30 but they kept us ouside till 9:48 because they weren’t ready, then to open a simple account you have to have income or they don’t open any account for you. And even the worse part is , inorder to have online banking you have to wait for 3 months so they review your income and if , if , if they are satisfied they will give you online access . Overall do not waste your time and money on this bank .
I have been trying to get my money from a TFSA transferred out of of National Bank to another financial institution for several weeks and 2 requests. After contacting them they were not apologetic nor did they seem to care that the process was so slow. They were unable to confirm when the money would be released but said another request for transfer would need to be sent. This is unacceptable and I feel like my money is being held hostage. We opened a business account with National Bank and it was a complete waste of time. Both the staff and management seemed unfamiliar with basic financial procedures and their own internal policies. We had to explain our situation twice, and now we’re being told to go through the entire process again with a different team. Extremely disappointing experience. We expected much better organization and professionalism from a major bank.
The people working here are nice, however the branch doesn’t do any cash transactions. Therefore, foreign exchange is not possible at this branch and you will need to go to another one.
