Dr. Koutlas spent the time I needed to understand the options to consider for my hip pain. Ultimately, we agreed on a replacement. The surgery was done two weeks ago and I am already back to reasonable mobility. He did a good job of explaining what he would be doing and what I should expect. The staff in TOA’s Ft.Loudoun office are very nice. Easy in/ easy out. Go Tarheels Dr. Nick!
Very pleased with my experience at TOA in Lenoir City, especially the care I received from Dr. Koutlas and his staff. Everyone was courteous and patient with my questions. The surgical procedure at Park West went well. Everyone on staff was helpful and professional.

Dr. Koutlas was very conscientious when he met with me regarding my right knee which was very swollen and painful. (I’ve previously had total knee replacement and revision surgery on my right knee over the past five years by different surgeons.) He communicated clearly with me what his next steps (blood work and MRI) would be and why he was ordering them. My first impression of him was very positive and I expect it will continue to be going forward.
My primary made the referral and I received a call from the scheduler who scheduled and appointment with a hip doctor when I needed someone for my right leg. It was a waste of my time and YES they charged me a co-pay and a waste of the doctors time, who simply doesn't specialize in leg issues.
