My experience at this UPMC location fell far short of what their “life-changing medicine” motto promises. The practice appears disorganized, and based on other reviews, I’m not the only one who feels this way. Appointments are rushed typically lasting no more than 5–10 minutes after which you’re sent off for bloodwork. If the labs come back “normal,” you’re told nothing is wrong and to simply call back if you need to be seen again. First of all I want to say thank you to dr hare and I hope this review helps others. Not to sound dramatic, but dr. Hare has changed my life in the best way possible. He is knowledgeable, informative, caring and most of all he’s very human. Before dr.Hare, I was driving 10 hours for a specialist for a rare allergy and autoimmune disease. Dr. Hare was great. The one star is for the practice & the way it is run. If you are going to charge patients upfront for allergy shots before it is received, the patient has a right to be informed. Consenting to the shots does not automatically mean I’m consenting to payment upfront. Life happens & in my case, I will not be able to proceed with shots for medical reasons yet I was told I still have to pay for it & “it will be stored here till it expires”. This is NOT OKAY. We have been taking my daughter to him for over 8 years. He and his staff have always been helpful, informative and kind. Dr Hare gives thorough explanations and his office has always had any questions I’ve called in with answered in a timely manner. Dr Hare also has always tried to make connections with the kids while we talk through test results and what they mean.
