Please avoid Dr. Nathan Pekar if you have any interest in living a quality life. I genuinely was excited to take the time to write this review - (AI did not assist!). Dr. Nathan Pekhar's clinic, processes, and staff are phenomenal individualized to care for a complete anxious mess like me since I relocated to Austin Texas from Houston. Guy was nice enough in person but ever since, this place has been an absolute nightmare. He switched my prescription to something I've never had before AFTER I told him I am on cannabis for PTSD and after 3 months he asked me to come in and take a pee test saying that if I had THC in my system he could not give me that prescription. I told him in our 1st meeting I was a medical cannabis user in Illinois and I JUST moved to Texas that month. I was unaware of this law but was open and honest with him. Dr. Pekar's office Victory Medical charged me for an office visit even though I was only there for an annual physical, and they are refusing to remove the charge.
This is unfortunate because I initially thought he was a good doctor, but he has completely ghosted me after my physical. I made a request through the portal as he instructed me to, and it has been crickets from him and his team. I followed up at least four times. American doctors exhaust me.
