This past week I had a mastectomy at Edwards Hospital. Dr. Bobofchak was assigned as my anesthesiologist. I had never met Dr. Bobofchak prior to my surgery. When we discussed his plan of action, he recommended and ordered a peripheral nerve block. It follows the ERAS, enhanced recovery after surgery or ERAS. This nerve block is one protocol for pain management without the use of opioids.
