I am very grateful that I have made the decision to have a total knee replacement and that Dr Hamill will be doing it. I have been in so much pain for so long! I am very hopeful to going back to an active life style :-) I will be having surgery November 20th. 🙏
Dr. Hammel has been my savior. I was in excruciating pain for months after a complete gluteus medius and minimus tear of my right hip. I knew the moment I met Dr. Hammel that he was the one that I wanted to do my surgery. And I had met a couple of really awfully crazy Doctors. The worst part was waiting 3 months for my surgery date because he is so in demand. But boy was it worth the wait. Dr. Hammel was the 5th orthopedic surgeon that I consulted for my severe hip pain. The others just told me I would need a replacement in the future and to lose as much weight as I can in the meantime while writing a prescription for pain. The one before him did arthroscopic surgery to attempt to repair the torn labrum but the surgery failed and he made me wait 6 whole months before he would admit it. Dr. Hammel replaced my right knee on October 21st, 2022. The procedure went very well and after physical therapy and continued prescribed exercises I am happy to say it's healed very well! My knee has 125 degree flex with no pain and I'm back to golfing and long Beach walks without any difficulty. I could not be more pleased and thankful! Patrick Lally
Dr Hammel and his whole crew are fabulous. I had my hip replaced, very little pain after. He made sure both of my legs were the same length, I would definitely recommend him. His office staff are all exceptional, very nice and helpful
