I have seen Dr. Carnell for years, but within the last 2 years have become very disappointed with his care. During my last visit he was in and out within 30 minutes and that included a thyroid ultrasound. He has become a treat by the numbers guy and not by symptoms. I truly feel that he did not take the time to listen to my symptoms/concerns. Very disappointed and frustrating. I will be looking for a new endocrinologist.
Dr. Carnell has worked to normalize my hyperthyroidism over a 5 year period without any harm to me whatsoever. His patience and medical knowledge is superior in the area. He explains his treatment plan in layman's terms so that I could understand completely the timetable and expected outcome. He has been my specialist since 2011 and I appreciate his professionalism greatly.
Dr Carnell's office only accepts referrals via primary physicians. This makes it difficult for those who feel their primary is not treating thyroid issues well and who want a second opinion to get that opinion without creating a potentially adversarial relationship with their primary.
