I usually dread calling insurance companies, especially because i’ve had some bad experiences in the past. Thkra gave me my options very smoothly and it made for an easy call. Would recommend her to others looking for a new quote.
They do their homeowners through homesite. Homesite is a subsidiary of American Family Insurance. My previous insurer was American Family and I saved $1200/year moving my policy off of American Family to the Geico quote. Homesite was not happy, they told me I had to replace my roof to keep my policy despite a roof inspection from a roofer that said roof was 8-10 years old, had 20 years of life left, included photos and was very thorough.
GEICO IS CANCELLING MY POLICY INDEFINITELY UNDER FALSE PRETENSE! A few months ago I wanted to help the community by offering to deliver or move household items for those that dont have means to do so themselves. I called Geico and asked what I would need to change about my policy to start doing this in the near future. They claimed the insurance I have would be fine.
