Prior to the surgery that morning, the doctor met with me and explained what he was gonna do during surgery He explained how I should prepare myself to recover and asked if I had any questions My dealings with the doctor over the last couple of years he’s been very professional he answers your questions explains each inquiry thoroughly and makes you feel good about what’s gonna happen

Not easy to get a hold of. Called what I thought was the office twice to an unfriendly person answer and put me on hold for 20 mins, twice. Even though I was caller zero in the cue. Not sure why this was complicated
Not compassionate
I cant say enough good things about Dr. Narepalem. He performed a radical prostatectomy 8/18 and the results have been awesome. Minimal incontinence. I left the hospital the day after surgery and only needed 1 Tylenol pain. He was very clear on what to expect and what I needed to do pre and post surgery. He made me wait as well, which at 1st I wasn't happy about, but I did need to lose weight. Which is the reason the surgery was so successful. PSA 0 1 month later Awesome Dr!!! Highly recommend
Dr Narepalem and his entire staff have been efficient, informative and caring.
Dr. Narepalem did robotic prostatectomy on me in 2017. I wish I had gone to a doctor with more experience and one who is honest with me in regards to potential outcomes. I wish he had given me an order to get pelvic floor exercises before surgery. He is not current on latest recommendations for pre-op and post op prostatectomy. He told me kegel exercises are not important. He did not help me with the incontinence and ED I was left with. It was a horrible experience.
Made me wait, condescending, did not explain follow up treatment options depending on future test results. Never followed up with results consultation. Expected me to come in for a follow up visit to do additional unnecessary tests and to tell me the first test results were normal. Became angry when I asked how the first consultation visit charge was calculated, as there is a $160 - $500 consultation charge scale. They could not explain to me what the criteria was for the $405 charge.
I am an oral surgeon and sought several different opinions for treatment of my prostate cancer. I talked to several urologists, and “experts” who performed the most robotic surgeries in Illinois. I had two consultations with Dr. Narepalem. I was impressed by his confidence and professionalism. He is a meticulous surgeon and a caring individual. He does have strong convictions and wants the best outcomes for his patients. I have been extremely pleased with all phases of treatment and results.
