Last year, our Building received a $350,000 Crime Insurance payout after Joe Nardo’s actions as Managing Agent were investigated. And he has now been sued by our Insurance Company for recovery of that amount. I was able to prove he was paying his Maintenance and Cleaning company (Capstone Building Services) in full despite providing a fraction of contractual staff hours. This office either can’t be bothered to do the baseline minimum requirement of doing their job, or they just refuse to. Joe Nardo, if you CAN get him on the phone, is typically a horrifically rude bully to his own clients. But again, that’s if you can even get him. I once, after a fourth unreturned call regarding an active ceiling leak in my apartment, had to threaten to get lawyers involved before he would deign to call me back and deal with the issue in any way. I have had several occasions to work with Joe on housing management matters. It has always been a profesional and pleasant experience working with Joe.
Edited to add that there is a favorable review from an employee, and another favorable review from someone the "management company" has had business dealings with. Nardo and Associates did a poor job in managing our building. They were very difficult to reach, and it was like pulling teeth to get them to do anything, whether it was paperwork for to moving or selling, or a maintenance issue.
