I really love getting my running shoes from Naperville Running Company! The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable, and I always walk (or run) off with a new pair of shoes that I love.
Hearing all excellent things about this store from people at the gym, I went in to purchase shoes. Erin was/is SO helpful and knowledgeable about the various manufacturers and their shoes. She was/is SO patient , understanding, and and eager to ensure I selected the most comfortable, well fitting shoes. NYC even has a treadmill I used with each pair of shoes I tried on. Erin spent about 1 1/2 hours with me. She is an outstanding representative of NYC! The store is clean, neat, and well organized.
I went here under the direction of my podiatrist after being diagnosed with a tailor's bunion. I originally had not thought to shop here as I am in no way a runner or into outdoor activities in general. Boy was I wrong in that assessment! I stopped in on my way back from my appointment and Erin was so incredibly helpful. She listened/asked questions, watched me walk in socks, and then measured my feet. Amy was patient and kind, she brought out many walking shoes for me until found perfect pair to help w foot pain. Not cheap but worth it and no extra $ for yearly plan like other places.
This place is great whether you are an avid runner or just someone that needs a good/sturdy shoe for every day use. Mary Rose helped us out and had the most patience ( which was much-needed) and was so knowledgeable on the importance and differences between each branch and style of shoe. I highly recommend paying them a visit the next time you are looking for a new shoe!
