RecommendedWe went to the Ocoee River in Tennessee. Jim C. was our guide and he was AMAZING! I was nervous with it being my first time but he did an amazing job at guiding us and giving us confidence. Not only did he provide humor about the rapids, but he gave us plenty of interesting facts about the river! By the end of the middle, I was in the front paddling and having a blast! I will definitely be back, and hopefully get Jim again!

Nantahala Outdoor Center is an excellent place to visit for an outdoor adventure. Great rafting and the AT passes right through it so there’s plenty of world class hiking. They have mountain bikes you can rent and zip lines over the gorge and some other exciting activities to try. You know you’re in the Smokie Mountains when you’re there.
