I had out-patient surgery by Dr. Nancy Aguirre De Baker yesterday and my experience was excellent from start to finish. My first post-op day was really good just like she told me. Dr. De Baker was thorough, attentive, and genuinely compassionate. She took the time to listen to my concerns, and as a nurse she respected me and discussed treatment options without rushing. I was sent to her from the ER. She was very rushed and insensitive to the pain I was in. She made me feel extremely violated as I was in pain and she continued to do what she was doing. Highly do not recommend.
Highly recommended a different labor and delivery doctor! Met with her for 10 minutes at my 30 week appointment and she told me I would need to be induced and do weekly monitoring twice a week due to my gestational diabetes (never explained why and said We would discuss it in a month) Fast-forward to my 36 week appointment appointment after speaking to two other doctors who said I would not need the induction she insisted I did and when I started asking questions never once declining the abduction she got very upset and canc... read more
I remember how unwelcomed I felt at the hospital, being a first time mother, because of my insurance. She doesn't favor those who have a particular plan and I felt mortified by this. With the stress of having a baby, I didn't need her discrimination. Perhaps training on who's given welfare, including college students which I'm sure she's part of that demographic unless she had rich parents that never needed assistance. I highly do not recommend her if you have had a C-section in the past unless you want your medical decisions made for you. My girlfriend was there today for a routine appointment because of how far along she is in her pregnancy and was put on the contraction and heartbeat monitors and I watched the heartbeat monitor drop and notified the nurse and she didn't do anything about it and then dr.baker tried to hold her against her will and force her to go over to labor and delivery to be monitored and possibly deliver to early.
