My Son and I arrived 5 mins early. Still ended up waiting for over an hour. I asked if my Son's glasses could be fixed since a screw was missing, my answer was "Maybe we could get the Doctor to do it", it was never done. The Doctor ended up turning us away saying he didnt feel comfortable fitting him for contacts because my Son has a lazy eye. I only needed an eye glasses exam and not for contacts. I had gone here wanting to get contacts, I have heard from different doctors that I have astigmatism and some have said that I dont. Anyways I went to Dr. Nance and he suggested I try a different brand of contacts, so trusting him as a doctor I did. Now here I am, unable to wear contacts at all and idk what he did to my eyes but it always feels like I have something in there and when I look there is what I think looks like a pimple on the top line of my eye lid which I didn't have before going to him.

I tried making an appointment to get an eye exam after being referred to them by my insurance. Of course, I was asked if I had insurance. I said I have Medicaid and right away the receptionist asked if I'm diabetic. I said yes and she told me that my insurance wouldn't cover the exam. In the decade that I've been getting eye exams I have NEVER been denied an eye exam because I am diabetic. I also have never been told that there's a different eye exam because I have diabetes.
