We had a broken strand in our Stbd D2 whilst sailing near the Marshall Islands. We contacted Carli on a Thursday , gave her all the details and measurements and by Monday afternoon, they had it all made up and it was on its way to us in Micronesia. A perfect fit! We have dealt with Nance and Underwood since 1989 and have nothing but positive things to say about this company.
I hired Nance & Underwood for a custom modification to my boat’s bowsprit, specifically to adjust the setup so that the bobstays/whiskers could be tensioned with Dyneema and clutches. Unfortunately, their work was substandard. A few months later, the bowsprit snapped right at their drilled holes [refer pictures]. Honorable people. They honored a fault in the design of my bow sprit whisker system. Their ability to communicate was not ideal, but that was the most difficult aspect of dealing with them, but for the rest, I can recommend them with confidence, especially because they remained honorable and sorted the issue. I have yet to mount the replacement whiskers
