She told me $65 for a dozen tamales!!!!! I thought she was kidding at first, the going rate anywhere else for fresh home made tamales that are DELICIOUS is $22 for a dozen. Run!!!!!!!!! I get mine fresh delicious tamales in Anza every Saturday morning $22 for a dozen. Made that morning. I hope people know they are being scammed, this is corn husks guys- not lobster!! Mexican food is a dime a dozen in SoCal, not sure how this place has survived but there are plenty of other tamale places in town- run!
I got two tamales at the Vaill farmer's market. I lived in New Mexico for 4 years, so I was curious to try their NM tamales. Naturally I ordered the chile and cheese, expecting it to be made with NM chile. I was disappointed to find jalapenos inside. They weren't New Mexican. Not to mention they were about half the size of an actual tamale. And way overpriced.
Terrible! Not even Mexican!!
