Pretty Good – Nice decor, average "upscale" environment. Food was definitely creatively unique, although the lamb was a little bland. The desserts were fabulous though, and the service was excellent in the restaurant (the bartenders seemed a little lackadaisical). Great wine list, but tight on convenient parking. I would encourage reservations.
Best Meal in Triangle – This was the best meal we have had in the area in a number of years. We ate at Nana's for our aniversary and the service was excellent. Food was outstanding. I had duck, my wife had venison. I travel a lot, and it's nice to know that one of the best restaurants on the east coast is so close to home. Without question this is our favorite place in the area.
Deserving of High Praise – Nana's is definitely one of the top 5 restaurants in the Triangle. With its corner lot location on University Dr. and 15/501 it serves as the true intermediary between downtown Durham professionalism and neighborhood chic. zagat guide place – to me there are two restaurants in the triangle, nana's and il palio. both of these are true restaurants with pleasing gourmet food with fine decor. i love nana's. it's tucked away like a hidden gem.
