We fostered for ten years with CAS before switching to Nairn Family Homes. I wish we had known about them sooner. They are so supportive, encouraging, and child centered. We love having a team that really advocate for the best interests of the children and work hard to care for families well. We have been with Nairn for 10 years and prior to that we had been with CAS, and other OPR’s. Nairn is by far THE best to offer support and guidance to their foster parents and children in their homes. The training offered is pertinent and they are exceptional at placing children in homes, matching the needs of each in the right home. They are non-judgemental and very professional. We are very happy with Nairn.
I can not say enough good things about Nairn! When looking into fostering we originally contacted CAS and basically was told you get who you are given. With our own teen girls still living at home we did not feel that would be a good fit for us at that time and did not pursue it. Good to see from the reviews that things have changed. Back in 1989 Nairn family homes did nothing to help me as a 13 year old child. They bowed heavily to the selfish choices made by the Hamilton Children’s aid society. Tore me out of one of the best homes I ever lived in. Glad to hear they now have a backbone.
