Disappointed! I booked a Mani/pedi appointment a month in advance for my son's wedding. During the pedicure, she took out her phone, looked at the time and from that point on I got a lick and a prayer. I'm not sure why she even took out the hot stones. She clapped them on my legs once, like 2 cymbols and done. She ushered me to dry and I said are you doing my manicure? Apparently they scheduled incorrectly. I really wanted to love Nail Cafe—the space is cute and the staff is kind—but unfortunately, the gel manicures just haven’t held up for me. I’ve tried twice now, and both times the polish started chipping or peeling in under a week, even with proper aftercare. It’s a bummer because I had high hopes, but I don’t think I’ll be returning for gel services.
Nail Cafe is so clean and professional. I asked for pink ‘cat eye’ nails, and Stephanie did an amazing job. She was meticulous and shaped them exactly how I wanted. I recommend Nail Cafe to everyone!
The good: immaculate, upscale and very accommodating. The bad and the ugly: The first six months of coming here I absolutely loved it. I don’t know what happened. I have the same stylist and yet I can’t get more than a week out of a gel manicure. I pay $45 and I leave a $10 tip. This last time I went she was 30 minutes behind which meant my appointment was rushed, which meant two days later I had two nails that chipped.
