Dr. Nagahiro saved my vacation. The only pair of glasses I brought to Hawaii broke with four days left on my trip. Staying in Kapalua, I didn’t want to spend a whole day driving to Kahului and getting a new pair of glasses. I called Maui Jim’s and they said they would fix glasses, until I actually got to the store and then they told me that I would only be able to fix Maui Jim glasses and they wouldn’t help me with anything else. Dr. Nagahiro saved my vacation & my eye! I had just arrived to Maui and enjoyed a day at the beach when I felt tremendous discomfort in my eye, which I attributed to a scratched cornea after removing my contact lens. I found Dr. Nagahiro on Google and wasn’t sure what to expect. She absolutely outperformed any expectations. She was calm, knowledgeable, thoughtful and thorough. AVOID THIS OPTOMETRY!!! Do yourself the favor and make the drive to another optometry. The doctor is SO rude and SO unprofessional. I used to work at an optometry and was blown away with how poorly I was treated. For beginners, the office is full of boxes and papers stacked all over. Very messy and organized. Small selection of frames. They don't stock contacts in office and will not cooperate with you in any way. Do not waste your time. This practice is shameful.

I moved from the mainland to Maui in August and needed to find someone on the west side for an eye exam and new glasses. I already had frames I wanted to use but due to COVID there were no eye doctors seeing patients for me to see to get my glasses before my move. I checked on VSP and was very happy to have found Dr. Rae. If I could give her more then 10 stars I would! If your in the need of a doc on the west side I highly recommend you going to her office.
