Drinks only...dissappointing dinner – I had enjoyed N27 for drinks and music so I decided to give them a try for Valentines Day dinner. Instead of live music, they played latin pop too loud for the number of people. The lighting was like a dentist's office and the decor wasn't any better. No customer Srvc – I called in advance to book a party for up to 16 ppl. The person who answered the phone would not take my reservation and I was told leave a VM for someone else. After several days of calling and sending an email, I finally reached someone, tried again to make a reservation only to find out that their party menu was $36 pp for food only and they were already booked. Very irresponsible and Lazy of Nacional to treat potential customers that way.

Great upscale Latin cuisine – Beautiful upscale restaurant serves cuisines of 27 Latin nations in one location (in Chicago even!). The menu features starters including a variety of ceviches, empanadas, tapas and the like. Try the tuna and watermelon and the orange fluke ceviches. Salsa fun – We came in on a recommendation for the latin dancing after 11:00. The clientel was very friendly and the drink prices were what you would expect in that area. We had $9.00 martinis that were fairly decent. Crowded dance floor full of men who knew how to lead the latin novice. We had a great time. Nice mixed crowd.
Blew me away! – It was love at first bite when they brought out a "taste," smoked salmon and cucumber seviche. The pork shoulder entree was particularly good, and the espresso flan was to die for. Ambiance was hip and unique, service was good overall. Very slow with bringing back the check, but great place overall.
Hip Latin Fusion – If you have 8+guests, expect a prix fixe dinner. You will not be bowled over by the food. The dishes are "trying too hard". After 11:00pm, the remove the middle tables and becomes a nightclub. Not especially romantic with hungry men scoping all the women in the joint. However, I would reccomend for singles in large groups. Expect to pay at least $50-$60.
Fabulous – I had a wonderful time with my friends, the food was amazing as was the service. I will for sure be back!
