I would have to agree with the others. In his report he said there were no recent comparable sales in our neighborhood. There was a much smaller, older house with no basement and worse part of our neighborhood that sold for nearly $40k more than the appraisal he put on our house. In my opinion he's going to low ball every appraisal or find comparable properties no matter how far away to match the narrative the lender is trying to write. If your lender chooses him you are up the proverbial creek.
Shoddy appraisal. Steer clear if you want an accurate value for your home. Adam Tauscher almost caused my sale to not go through. Fortunately the bank adjusted our value. I would hate for that to happen to someone else. It’s a costly mistake.
